O carro e a cigarra

Recorded in July 14th 2008 in front of my house. Coming back home after work I get surprised by those cicadas making a fuzzy, phasing screaming, scratching, high-speed rotation sound around the city, by the morning. Though that it could be the sound of electricity but no, that was cicadas. Just after
starting to record, a car passed over the street and the cicada shuted up. It’s  how nature does silence as a natural instinct of survival when a bigger noise-machine comes in. A sony hi-md mzrh1 was used on this shot.the recording was not edited, it’s full, the way it was taken.
